Janet Devlin has topped the public vote each week on X Factor 2011
A slightly quieter week in X Factor-ville after the shenanigans following week 5′s live show. But fear not, we’ve been keeping our eyes peeled for any movement in the X Factor odds and we are pleased to report that there are two acts battling it out for the bookies’ top spot.
Firstly, Marcus Collins is well backed at 10/3 with Boylesports, novelty betting experts. Securing his place in the limelight with his version of Reet Petite in live show week 5, Marcus had a shaky week 6 with some less than favourable comments from the judges. Tulisa labelled the performance “predictable”, and added “I want you to have more freedom on stage”. Marcus needs to pull something fresh out of the bag this week. I’ll put myself on the line and say that Marcus will not win X Factor 2011.
Liverpool1985, forum contributor on OLBG, The Sports Betting Community says ‘I am not sold on Amelia Lily. She returns, sings last on a week when everyone else was hopeless, and gets through ahead of Kitty and the pretty unpopular Misha B and she went straight in to favourite? Really. I would say by now a lot of people have locked in to their fan bases’. He also speculates about who will win X Factor 2011. ‘Craig is the typical winner. And must be pulling in a fair few votes.’ I predict that Craig may find himself in trouble this week, unless he can top his, till now, superb performances. The public don’t like consistency, they like drama!
Although we do like Amelia Lilly here at sisterbet we also feel she may have been over-hyped but is currently sitting comfortably in 2nd place in the bookies X Factor odds table, at 7/2 with Boylesports.
Where does this leave Janet Devlin?
The news that she has topped the public vote every week (alas Matt Cardell) is no real surprise to us. But does this explain the productions team’s sudden negative editing? Perhaps they are scared of another predictable series and wanted to spice things up a bit (even though they know full well that Janet is going to win X Factor 2011). My vote stays firmly with Janet Devlin – currently 5/1 with Paddy Power Novelty.
Betting Prediction: Misha B and Craig in bottom 2. Craig saved by the judges.
