Can Little Mix Beat The X Factor Odds Curse?!

Never far from controversy, X Factor 2011 has been in the news once more.

This week HMV accidentally added Amelia Lily’s winners song as a pre-order on the website, but it hasn’t had much impact on the X Factor 2011 betting odds as Bet 365 still have Little Mix as 11/10 favourites to win the X Factor 2011

But could being the X Factor favourites actually hurt Little Mix – not only do we think there might be a backlash over the “was it a fix” scandal after HMV’s mistake but they’ve got the battle against the X Factor betting stats as the last four reality TV favourites have been beaten on the night!! Anyone remember how certain everyone was that Mark Wright would win I’m A Celeb 2011!?

We think the Amelia Lily news will hit the voting stats, but we’re not sure how. If people believe that it was a genuine mistake then they might be encouraged to vote for Amelia Lily – either that or they’ll be completely put off!! You can back Amelia Lily to win the X Factor at 12/5 with Bet365. We think if it gives people a chance to feel like they’ve got one over on Simon Cowell they’ll use their X Factor votes for Little Mix or Marcus Collins.

Then there’s the illness factor! It’s been widely reported that Marcus has been suffering from a throat illness over the last few days, which explained his below par performances on Saturday, and he definitely sounded ill on Radio 1 on Monday morning … but he performed with Gary Barlow last night and is off for his hometown visit tonight! Shouldn’t he be resting his voice for the biggest X Factor Final ever at Wembley on Saturday … or is it a Team Barlow tactic?!
